Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA)

Known as the friendliest airport in the country, Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) is also the third busiest airport in the US state of Indiana. Arriving Fort Wayne by Rails and Buses

Amtrak: Situated about 40 kilometers north from the city, Amtrak’s Capital Limited is the nearest passenger railway service operating from Waterloo Railway Station. Public Transportation: Fort Wayne’s public transport is mainly run by the city’s public transportation corporation called Citilink. It offers services from Monday to Saturday and is closed on New Years Day and Sundays. The buses operate on twelve fixed routes throughout the city along with two deviation routes. In 2009, a complimentary facility was started called the CampusLink for students, teachers and the public travelling between North campus and Tech’s Coliseum, Waterfield Campus and IPFW, and between residential and shopping areas. Arriving Fort Wayne by Road

Getting to Fort Wayne via road is one of the best ways to arrive in the city. Fort Wayne is home to several interstates and expressways that connect the city to all the other major cities in the country.

Interstate 69 is the single most important road in the city running north to United States – Canada Border and south to Indianapolis. It also has a secondary beltway – Interstate 469. Four United State Highways (US Routes) – US 24, 27, 30 and 33 also run through the city along with 5 Indiana State Roads. A four lane Airport Expressway directly links FWA to Interstate 69.
